Once applied, it overwhelms a tick's ability to detect your scent, body heat, and CO2. You become invisible to ticks before they ever reach you.

Spray onto all exposed skin and clothing before heading outside. Cover arms, legs, neck, and ankles thoroughly. Avoid contact with eyes and mouth.

OutGuard is safe for anyone ages 3 and up. The plant-derived active ingredient is EPA-approved and recognized as a safer alternative to DEET.

Formulated for human use only - pets need their own tick repellents designed for them.

Each application protects you for up to 6 hours. Reapply sooner after heavy sweating, swimming, or being caught in heavy rain. If you're spending the full day outdoors, reapply once around the halfway point to stay protected

All orders ship within 24-48 hours from our US warehouse With free shipping on orders over $40.

THE OUTGUARD DIFFERENCE

OTHER REPELLENTS MAKE YOU LESS APPEALING. OUTGUARD MAKES YOU DISAPPEAR

With generic repellent

Generic

NO BARRIER

Generic repellents sit on your skin and go no further. Only making you less interesting once the tick is already on you.

TICK DETECTABLE

Most repellents only cover your scent. Your body heat and CO2 are still fully detectable - ticks have everything they need to find you.

NO RECEPTOR DISRUPTION

Without disrupting the tick's receptors, it can still identify you as a host, navigate straight toward you, and bite.

WITH OUTGUARD

OutGuard

PRE-CONTACT PROTECTION

OutGuard disperses outward into the surrounding air - creating an invisible chemical perimeter that reaches ticks before they can get close.

CHEMICALLY INVISIBLE

The airborne OLE/PMD jams every signal a tick uses to find you - scent, body heat, and CO2. You vanish from its senses.

FULL SENSORY SHUTDOWN

Every receptor a tick uses to hunt gets overwhelmed at once. It loses the ability to find a host. It cannot reach you.

"BACK IN THE WOODS AND DIDN'T THINK ABOUT TICKS ONCE."

Been hearing more and more about the Lone Star tick spreading into our area and it had me second-guessing my morel spots this spring. Found OutGuard and figured I'd try it. Haven't had a single tick on me since. Worth every penny.

"Ticks have gotten so bad around here I've started skipping my morning fishing trips. Wasn't worth the hassle anymore."

"STOPPED SKIPPING TRIPS. HAVEN'T HAD A TICK ON ME SINCE."

Started hearing about the Lone Star tick spreading into our county and it scared me enough to start staying home. Found OutGuard and it gave me enough confidence to get back out there. Haven't had a single tick on me since. Highly recommend it.

“Riding singletrack out here means tall grass and brush everywhere. I was coming home with 10, sometimes 15 ticks on me after every ride.”

"HAVEN'T FOUND A SINGLE TICK SINCE I STARTED USING IT."

was avoiding rides because of how many ticks I was bringing home. Friend recommended OutGuard. I spray down before every ride now and haven't found one on me since. Back to riding without worrying about it.

"Been hunting these woods my whole life. Ticks have gotten so bad the last two seasons I've started skipping sits I never would've before."

"BACK IN MY STAND WHERE I BELONG. HAVEN'T SKIPPED A SIT SENSE.”

Picked this up after skipping more sits than I'd like to admit. Sprayed my boots, pants and skin before heading out. Scent doesn't spook the deer and haven't found a single tick on me since. Back in my stand where I belong.

Verified Buyer

"Two of my hunting buddies got alpha-gal this season. Been scared to even go into the woods after that."

"ACTUALLY ENJOYING BEING OUT IN THE WOODS AGAIN. FEELS LIKE IT USED TO."

Watched those guys lose red meat overnight and it took the fun right out of it for me. Started using this before every hunt and stopped thinking about it after the first week. Back to just hunting.

Verified Buyer

"Ordered so much tick stuff this season. Still finding them on me after every sit."

"THREE WEEKS IN. HAVEN'T SEEN ONE OF THOSE LITTLE BASTARDS ON ME.”

Tried permethrin, tried the checks, tried all of it. Something always got through. First time I used this I went a full sit in a creek bottom - worst tick spot on the property - and came out clean. Haven't gone out without it since.

Verified Buyer

"Hiked the same trails in Shenandoah for fifteen years. Last spring pulled 14 ticks off myself after a 4-mile loop and never left the path."

"HIKED ALL WEEKEND & DIDN'T FIND A SINGLE ONE ON ME."

Picked this up before heading back out to the same trails. Sprayed my legs, arms and the back of my neck before hitting the trailhead. Did the full loop both days and came back to the car. Checked myself - nothing. Don't know what took me so long.

Verified Buyer

"Spent probably $60 on natural tick sprays last summer. Did a day hike outside Asheville and came back with ticks all over my pants and two embedded."

"FIRST repellent THAT'S ACTUALLY WORKED. WISH I FOUND IT SOONER."

Tried cedar oil, tried lemongrass, none of it did a thing. Sprayed this before a 6-mile hike on the Black Balsam trail through some of the thickest brush I've been in. Checked myself at the car. Clean. Haven't touched another spray since.

Verified Buyer

"Ticks got so bad at our campsite. We'd spend the whole trip checking each other and still find embedded ones."

"WIFE WANTS TO GO BACK. NOBODY FOUND A TICK ALL WEEKEND."

Brought a bottle on our first trip back in two years. Sprayed us both down morning and evening, hit our boots and pant legs too. Three days in the woods and not a single tick on either of us. My wife already booked the next trip. Should've found this stuff a long time ago.

FAQ

What if it doesn't work?

We're confident OutGuard will do exactly what it says. But if for any reason you're not satisfied, send it back within 30 days for a full refund - no questions asked. No hoops to jump through, no forms to fill out. Just reach out and we'll take care of it.

How is this different from other plant-based repellents I've tried?

Most plant-based sprays use raw essential oils - citronella, peppermint, cedar, lemongrass. They evaporate in minutes and have never been proven to repel ticks. OLE/PMD is a completely different compound. It's the only plant-based ingredient the CDC recommends by name - refined to 30% concentration and proven in a peer-reviewed study to outperform DEET against the Lone Star tick. It is not essential oil in a nicer bottle.

How many applications will I get out of one bottle?

Each 100ml bottle gives you approximately 25 full-coverage applications. A full-coverage application means spraying all exposed skin - arms, legs, neck, and ankles. We recommend keeping one in your bag, one in your car, and one at home so you're never caught without it when you head outside.

Will it stain my clothing or gear?

No. OutGuard is a clear, lightweight formula. It won't stain fabric, discolor gear, or leave residue. Unlike DEET, it also won't dissolve synthetic materials, strip waterproof coatings, or damage plastics.

Can I use it on my dog?

OutGuard is formulated for human use only. Don't apply it directly to your dog. For tick protection on your pet, use a product designed specifically for animals.

Does it have a strong smell?

OutGuard has a light, clean eucalyptus scent that fades within a few minutes of application. It's nothing like the harsh chemical smell of DEET.

I've tried DEET and Picaridin - what makes OutGuard different?

Both work. But DEET destroys gear and absorbs through your skin, and Picaridin is still a synthetic lab compound. OutGuard uses OLE/PMD at 30% - the only plant-based ingredient the CDC recommends alongside DEET - proven in a peer-reviewed study to outperform both against the Lone Star tick. Effective and clean. You don't have to pick one.
