Once applied, it overwhelms a tick's ability to detect your scent, body heat, and CO2. You become invisible to ticks before they ever reach you.

Spray onto all exposed skin and clothing before heading outside. Cover arms, legs, neck, and ankles thoroughly. Avoid contact with eyes and mouth.

OutGuard is safe for anyone ages 3 and up. The plant-derived active ingredient is EPA-approved and recognized as a safer alternative to DEET.

Formulated for human use only - pets need their own tick repellents designed for them.

Each application protects you for up to 6 hours. Reapply sooner after heavy sweating, swimming, or being caught in heavy rain. If you're spending the full day outdoors, reapply once around the halfway point to stay protected

All orders ship within 24-48 hours from our US warehouse With free shipping on orders over $40.

FAQ

What if it doesn't work?

We're confident OutGuard will do exactly what it says. But if for any reason you're not satisfied, send it back within 30 days for a full refund - no questions asked. No hoops to jump through, no forms to fill out. Just reach out and we'll take care of it.

How is this different from other plant-based repellents I've tried?

Most plant-based sprays use raw essential oils - citronella, peppermint, cedar, lemongrass. They evaporate in minutes and have never been proven to repel ticks. OLE/PMD is a completely different compound. It's the only plant-based ingredient the CDC recommends by name - refined to 30% concentration and proven in a peer-reviewed study to outperform DEET against the Lone Star tick. It is not essential oil in a nicer bottle.

How many applications will I get out of one bottle?

Each 100ml bottle gives you approximately 25 full-coverage applications. A full-coverage application means spraying all exposed skin - arms, legs, neck, and ankles. We recommend keeping one in your bag, one in your car, and one at home so you're never caught without it when you head outside.

Will it stain my clothing or gear?

No. OutGuard is a clear, lightweight formula. It won't stain fabric, discolor gear, or leave residue. Unlike DEET, it also won't dissolve synthetic materials, strip waterproof coatings, or damage plastics.

Can I use it on my dog?

OutGuard is formulated for human use only. Don't apply it directly to your dog. For tick protection on your pet, use a product designed specifically for animals.

Does it have a strong smell?

OutGuard has a light, clean eucalyptus scent that fades within a few minutes of application. It's nothing like the harsh chemical smell of DEET.

I've tried DEET and Picaridin - what makes OutGuard different?

Both work. But DEET destroys gear and absorbs through your skin, and Picaridin is still a synthetic lab compound. OutGuard uses OLE/PMD at 30% - the only plant-based ingredient the CDC recommends alongside DEET - proven in a peer-reviewed study to outperform both against the Lone Star tick. Effective and clean. You don't have to pick one.
